might have some trouble...

Now that I know how probing works, it would seem that my random probing of near level players has peaked the interest of ABE Word [1:363:12]. Assuming he couldn't see my defenses and lasers, a following message showed me that he attacked me a few hours ago with 1 ship....

I have a question, is it common for some players to through a light fighter or some other lesser ship into a planet just to see their defenses in a combat report?

No that is not a common way to find def's (to my knowledge anyway ) im guessing he a new player and he is probably just trying to figure things out. If he persists though im sure we can do somthing about it He may have thought you attacked him and is just returning the favor lol

hmmm that makes a lot of sense... he got really unlucky by sending whatever ship that was though. It got decimated

He will not get to see your defenses unless his ship survives the first round of combat... So if it didn't do that, all he knows is that his ship got wasted... And no, it is by no means a normal strategy, but rather him not knowing what he's doing...

OH! that's what that means it says "you lost contact with your fleet" when i lose a fleet... ok that makes sense.

Exactly:) It means you got wiped without ever having a chance... It should scare most people like him off;)

the most common way to get more information about another players planet is to increase the number of probes. You would still receive the espionage report even if the opposition obliterates your probes. You can think of it as payment to find out the guys details down to his research with slight chance of survival. I personally lvl my esp tech to 12 slowly till I get to 40k points or so in every account and I never need to send more than 3 probes to a guy around my stage.

I have mine set to send 3 at a time as well and I usually only upgrade it when I cant get decent reports from people around my rank.

You might be able to talk to him , give him some pointers and maybe even recruit him you never know

yep more members the better, as soon as the new members dont mess with our synergy

Make shure you set it to espianage and not atack ore you get no report

if you have photoshop, I can send you the template for mine, it would look really similar but I dont really mind

my siggy is a 14 layer beast

And I havent seen dethons yet gt go look at it now!

Not sure if I have the brains for it lol. Never really used photo shop or anything before. Took me a couple days to figure out how to do the one I have. 14 layers is alot, but it looks damn good I might have to mess around with it some more lol
